In the country of Malta, located in Europe, an old 1990’s Subaru car dealership was recently discovered by a passerby. The man then informed the website Cars Addiction of the discovery, at which time a crew showed up to document the building.
Inside, they found dozens of brand new, untouched Subaru vehicle’s from the mid-to-late 1990’s, ready to roll off the showroom floor. In fact, one care, the Subaru XT Turbo, was identified and estimated to be worth 5 to 6 figures.
According to research, the dealership was the first of it’s kind back in the early 1990’s. However, competition soon moved in and put the small dealer out of business, forcing the owner to shut down, leaving the building untouched for over 20 years.
No one is exactly sure why the owner decided to hang on to these cars for so long, as they’re each worth quite a sizable amount of money. Though, one thing is for sure: after the amount of press this dealer is sure to receive, these cars certainly won’t last long.
Sadly, after sitting in the dealership for over two decades, most of the cars appear to have heavily degraded. As seen in a few of the photos, oil and other fluids can be seen puddles underneath the cars, meaning that hosing and seals have become heavily degraded over time. This means that most of these cars will be in need of some pretty serious repairs before they are ready for the open road, though, many collectors believe they are well-worth the investment.
